You may be surprised by my assertion that for tens and hundreds of thousands of years since Yoga has existed as a science and practice, today the concept of “Yoga” is neither properly defined nor properly understood nor properly practiced. It is to fill these gaps and “black holes” in the understanding of Yoga that we have written this book.
Another reason for writing our book is the existence of antagonistic conflicts between official (formal) medicine and yoga. People trust official authorities, including official medical authorities, blindly and unreasonably whether because of a lack of logical thinking or out of laziness. But despite the increasing number of doctors, medicines, and hospitals, the sick are getting more and more numerous, with more and more serious diseases and more often fatal.
We want to live among happy people so that our soul and labor will be easy. But the deepening and multiplying misfortunes of people make our lives more and more difficult. This takes more and more of our time instead of for our own development as personalities. We waste our time helping people who themselves, as if on purpose, ruin their health.
